ALEXIA JOHNSON

Public Relations Intern

When you’ve worked hard, and done well, and walked through that doorway of opportunity, you do not slam it shut behind you. You reach back and you give other folks the same chances that helped you succeed.

Alexia Johnson joined the Three Box team in May 2019 as a public relations intern during her last semester at the University of North Texas (UNT) where she received her Bachelor of Arts in public relations with a minor in psychology. As an intern, Alexia contributes new ideas and creative solutions for Three Box client programs and is responsible for content creation, social media, media relations, digital marketing and more.

Prior to her internship with Three Box, Alexia was a multimedia intern in The Bahamas. There, she curated blog content, assembled reports for social media progress and researched industry practices. This experience pushed Alexia towards building strong relationships and research skills that she brings to her internship with Three Box.

While enrolled at UNT, Alexia showed her “Mean Green” pride by using her skills with many on-campus organizations. She served as the digital media manager for the North Texas Daily and served as the public relations and social media manager for other student organizations. She also held the position of president for UNT’s chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), where she maintained relationships with alumni and campus leaders to create opportunities for NABJ members.

When she isn’t improving her public relations skills, Alexia enjoys trying new food, crying during mildly emotional movie scenes and spending time with her friends.
