COVID-19 & Business Continuity Planning

Business Continuity Paper Blog_Header.jpg

Business continuity is one of those elements that’s easy to forget about on a regular business day because, well, it’s a regular business day. When people are able to get from their home to their office, the Internet is on and the coffee pot works, everything else generally falls into place. On any given day, only an extremely small percentage of businesses experience a widespread operational disruption. And then came COVID-19.

While local and regional events (think severe weather) have caused a variety of isolated disruptions, you’d have to at least go back to the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center to find a case when our entire nation commonly experienced at least a partial interruption in business activity. Yet, COVID-19 likely will be recognized as a major point in history when every aspect of our society and economy was universally impacted… and various means for addressing such a widespread event were tested.

Members of the Three Box team recently weighed in with their observations and reactions when COVID-19 became a reality for us on Friday, March 13. Read these perspectives and learn how we set ourselves up for success here.
