Three Box is thrilled to introduce our public relations intern, Bri Roselius. Bri will begin her senior year of college this fall at the University of Alabama, but she is spending the summer with us! As part of our "Meet Three Box" series, let's get to know Bri a little better.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO PURSUE AN INTERNSHIP AT A STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS AGENCY?
Bri: A year ago, I wasn't even majoring in anything related to public relations. I went around the block a few times (education, pre-med, engineering) and landed on PR because it seemed like a good outlet for my creative voice. Additionally, my research of Three Box and other firms made me fall in love with the idea of working with different clients. The diversity of agency life fascinated me.
AS A SOON-TO-BE COLLEGE GRADUATE, WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR CAREER GOALS?
Bri: I want to be constantly challenged. My ideal workplace is one in which there is never a dull moment. As far as PR, I hope to some day be an account lead. I think it would be cool to be an expert in a specific industry and represent clients in that area. My pipe dream is to open my own firm, but that's down the road.
WHAT’S ONE SKILL YOU HOPE TO GROW AND DEVELOP DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP WITH THREE BOX?
Bri: Pitching, hands down. I am naturally really shy and it takes a lot to put myself out there. Whether it's via email or phone, I want to gain more confidence in my writing and speaking skills related to pitching.
NAME YOUR FAVORITE HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF WORK.
Bri: Trying new restaurants. Baking. Discovering new music (I've recently become a records snob). Reading. Watching movies (the same ones over and over again).
WHAT’S ON YOUR PLAYLIST AT THE MOMENT?
Bri: Lately, I've been listening to Ali Wong's stand up comedy. She's hilarious! I'm also always jamming to Fleetwood Mac and am currently on an 80's music kick.
FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME?
Bri: Lord of the Rings. Specifically, "Return of the King." I grew up watching it, so it's part nostalgia and part obsession with the characters. I can quote each film. It's nerdy, I know.
WHAT’S ON YOUR DALLAS BUCKET LIST?
Bri: I'm a huge foodie, so there are lots of restaurants I want to try! I'm also interested in each of the Dallas districts, like Uptown, Deep Ellum, Arts District, etc. I want to visit the go-to places and do the "cool" activities in each of those areas.
